Dr. Tanya Saour began her career in dental and orthodontic care after earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan in 2009. She deepened her expertise at the same institution, completing both a Master of Science in Craniofacial Growth and Development and a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2011.
Inspired early on by her work with Cleft Lip and Palate registries and UNICEF’s pediatric health initiatives, Dr. Saour discovered the transformative power of orthodontics in young lives. Today, she combines her passions for art and science to deliver thoughtful, personalized treatment plans in a warm, welcoming environment—where she often forges lasting friendships with her patients and their families.
An active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southwestern Association of Orthodontists, and the Texas Association of Orthodontists, Dr. Saour stays at the forefront of her field through cutting-edge research and continuing education. She also shares her knowledge as a former Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center’s School of Dentistry in Houston.
Committed to lifelong learning and community outreach, Dr. Saour holds membership in several honor societies, including Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Alpha Sigma Nu, and Golden Key International Honour Society—underscoring her dedication to excellence in both patient care and professional mentorship.
